Custom Shaping Edea Skates

Achieve the Perfect Instant Custom Fit

Every foot is unique, and some require more customization than others. At Maison du Patin, we stock a wide range of Edea figure skating boots, including Overture, Chorus, Symphony, Concerto, Ice Fly, and Piano models in every size and width available in Canada. While standard widths (B to D) suit most skaters, certain feet demand adjustments beyond these options.

Our expert custom shaping process leverages Edea's thermoformable design to shrink boots down to an effective AA width or expand them up to E for a precise fit. This goes further than basic sizing, allowing us to address specific foot issues with targeted reforms.

This process can be used to alleviate common foot challenges such as the following:

Bunions (Hallux Valgus)

Navicular Bones

Runner's Bump (Haglund's Deformity)

Malleoli (Ankle Bones)

And many other friction points, such as hammertoes, narrow Achilles, or bottom-foot pain.

Following a professional fit by one of our sales representatives, a technician uses controlled heat to customize without damaging the boot, ensuring superior performance on the ice. By the end of the molding process, the boot will be as tight as possible for enhanced support while simultaneously being expanded at the pressure points in question. Made to measure skates have long lead times and high costs, the instant custom fit gives the same level of precision and is done in approximately an hour.
