Dance and synchronized skating blades are designed for control, quick footwork, and clean edge work. Compared to traditional freestyle blades, they feature a shorter runner and a lower profile, allowing skaters to stay closer to the ice and move more efficiently.

The shorter blade length makes turns, steps, and transitions quicker and more precise. This is especially important in disciplines where timing, unison, and accuracy are key.

Toe picks are also smaller, reducing interference during footwork and minimizing the risk of catching the ice unintentionally. This allows for smoother execution of steps and better flow across the ice.
