Study: Effect of an orthopedic insole on ankle stability in ice skating | Correct Motion

Posted by Steve Laframboise on

The Correct Motion team joined INÉDI to evaluate the effect of an orthopedic insole on ankle stability in ice skating. The goal was to evaluate if and what impact a 3° or 7° insole could have on stability and performance.

The study evaluated the skater's center of pressure (COP) to aide in determining the difference between a orthopedic insole and a regular skate insole and further evaluated how this had an impact on the skater's execution.
